Top of Mind Thursday May 18, 2017: Time Flies
LinkedIn nicely informed my contacts this week that it was the 14 year anniversary of the launch of my business.Wow. Time sure does fly.
Some things have changed dramatically. In 2003, we had clam shell cell phones from Samsung and Nokia that handled telephone calls and that was about it. Amazon was still selling mainly books, music, and videos. And if you told people you’d rent out your couch to strangers or hire them for 15 minutes to get you from Point A to Point B, people would have thought you were totally crazy.
Yet, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Brands today are trying to stand out from their competitors as they convince prospects to be customers. There is still too much noise in the marketplace (in fact, there’s more than ever before!), and too many companies who believe if they build a product or service, customers will automatically come.
Today, more than ever, it’s critical to stand out above the noise. Are you being heard in the right places by the right people? If not, give me a call. Or a text. Or a Facebook DM. Or a tweet. Let’s get you on the right track for the next 14 years.
