Author, Speaker and Comedian
www.stopboringme.com
Kathy Klotz-Guest is the founder of Keeping it Human, whose mission is to help organizations and teams turn jargon-monoxide into compelling business stories, abolish boring marketing, and uncover bold ideas for marketing content, products, branding and more. She calls them idea orgasms! A podcaster (Keeping it Human’s Improvised Marketing Show), stand-up comic and improviser, Kathy has written two short books on humor, content, and storytelling (The Executive’s Bedtime Guide series) in addition to her recently released book, Stop Boring Me! How to Create Kick-Ass Marketing Content, Products and Ideas Through the Power of Improv.
In this podcast, Kathy talks about how improv can help organizations collaborate more effectively and why the safe route is really much more risky. She discusses why it’s important that organizations value humor and don’t take themselves too seriously, plus she explains about idea orgasms and why it’s important that we have these at least once or twice a day.

Top of Mind Thursday December 15, 2016: You’ve Been Breached
Yesterday, Yahoo announced a data breach in 2013 that impacted over 1 billion accounts….and this is in addition to the 500 million accounts that were hacked in 2014.
This makes you wonder if there are any Yahoo accounts that haven’t been hacked.
It also makes clear that today we need to expect that large scale data breaches will happen. As security measures improve, so do hacking capabilities. But those sites that don’t work aggressively to keep up are easier targets and more likely to be hacked.
As businesses, we need to be diligent in doing everything we can to keep customer data secure., knowing this is a moving target.
As consumers, we need to be aware that whatever is being done may not be enough. Breaches will happen. We need to be diligent in not exposing sensitive data any more than necessary, watching for signs that a breach may be impacting us personally, and taking action if that happens.
