Yesterday, the temperature in the Bay Area was over 100 degrees–about 20 degrees higher than normal–and today is predicted to be more of the same.
Across the globe, the past year was the warmest in recorded history. Scientists are predicting climate change will result in even more extreme temperatures, with a new set of ecological and economic challenges based on changing weather patterns.
Whether or not you believe climate change is man-made, the repercussions are real. The question is what you and your business should do about them.
Start by understanding how the changing climate will impact your business–and your customers’ businesses. What will you need to do to safeguard your existing business? What actions are your competitors likely to take? How might you be able to help new customers?
The weather may be out of our control. But the choice is yours: take proactive action to adapt to these changes, or sweat it out and wait for things to cool down–which might be a long time.
