Today is the first day of Rosh Hashonah, the Jewish New Year.
The Jewish tradition is to use this as a time to celebrate not just the new year, but our new selves.
It’s a time of renewal and reinvention. What can we do differently in the year ahead to make ourselves better people? How can we positively impact the lives of those around us?
At a time when we see anger, hate, and conflict in so many places, both in our own country and around the globe, what can we each do to repair the world–to make this just a little bit better place?
Whatever your religious background, I invite you to take a moment to consider how you can renew and reinvent your self in the year ahead.
And I wish you a l’shanah tovah, a happy, healthy and successful new year (5775 in our calendar).
